This Military Appreciation Month we’re asking you to once again help us in submitting names, pictures and stories of those who have served through use of the Remember Wall on our website. WAA will share submissions across our own channels throughout the month. And we’re excited to offer you, and your supporters an opportunity to win 100 veterans’ wreaths to send to the location of your choice as a way of saying thank you!
Here’s how you can participate:
Starting Sunday, May 1, through Memorial Day – Monday, May 30, 2022 – any posts made to the WAA “Remember Wall” through a wreath sponsorship will be entered into a random drawing of 10 winners selected on June 1. These 10 people will then allocate 100 veterans’ wreaths to a participating location of their choice for placement this National Wreaths Across America Day.
To help you Remember and Honor service members from your own communities, the team has created a new REMEMBER graphic template for social media. The template is saved in Canva, a tool we use to make social media graphics. It is FREE to set up an account and you can customize this graphic with pictures and names to use on your own channels this month.
Contact Samantha Gatcomb if you have any questions or need help using the template.
No matter how you remember and honor this month, we hope you do so with gratitude for those who were willing to sacrifice for this country and all who call it home!
With thanks,
Amber Caron

The next Educational Webinar will be held on Tuesday, May 10, at 8pm EST/5pm PST. Be sure to mark your calendars and join us for another valuable evening of learning! This month’s topics will include a general FAQ for volunteers and some important details about the program that everyone should know.
Your Regional Liaison will email you the day prior to the Educational Webinar with the link to join. We’ll also post the link in our private Facebook groups. If you would like to mark your calendar going forward, our monthly Educational Webinars are held on the second Tuesday of each month (February - November) at 8pm EST/5pm PST.
