Introduction To Wreaths Across America:

Wreaths Across America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded to continue and expand the annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery begun by Maine businessman Morrill Worcester in 1992. The organization’s yearlong mission – Remember, Honor, Teach – is carried out in part each year by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies in December at thousands of participating locations in all 50 states and beyond. You can read the full history of the organization  here - feel free to use!

Here’s a video version that will save you the reading:

National Wreaths Across America Day is a free, non-political event, that honors and remembers our nation's veterans who are laid to rest in more than 3,700 participating locations nationwide. This event if free and open to ALL people.

People living in communities all over this country have demonstrated that Wreaths Across America Day is important to them as Americans and loving family and friends. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers for making the mission a reality in communities across the country. It is because of YOU that the mission grows.
